This week has been absolute CHAOS at our house. To the point that I’m writing FloridaSNMom’s diary because she began seizing and can’t get down to her computer and thus didn’t get her diary done before she shut down for the day.
Welcome to the renovation nightmare that has been our house for the last 2 weeks or so.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
We have split up the publishing duties, but we welcome everyone in IAN to do daily diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news! If you would like to write a diary, let us know in a comment. Ok, we have a current diary schedule. If you would like to fill in, either post in thread or send FloridaSNMom a Kosmail with the date. If you need someone to fill in, ditto. FSNMom is here on and off through the day usually from around 9:30 or 10 am eastern to around 11 pm eastern.

Apparently simply fixing the floor in the 2nd bathroom and ensuring that we have a usable 2nd bathroom again was code for the following:
1. Replace the toilet in the main bathroom (AFTER removing the toilet in the 2nd bathroom).
2. Fix the pipes under the house (that aren’t actually integral parts of the 2nd bathroom).
3. Fix the leak in the kitchen sink.
4. Fix the leak in the bathroom sink (that we didn’t know was there).
5. PAINT THE HALLWAY with the asthmatics IN THE FUCKING HOUSE when there is no additional money or anywhere for them to go while the SEALED OFF hallway airs out from the paint fumes.
6. Clean the carport room and laundry room.
7. Eventually, put the subfloor in the 2nd bathroom.
8. Pull the paneling and tile off the wall and ceiling in the 2nd bathroom.
9. Sand the newly panel free wall.
10. Install a light fixture and up to code outlet (both of which I am grateful for).
11. Install paneling on thew all behind where the toilet is going.
12. Start to install flooring in 2nd bathroom.
Things that still need to be done in that bathroom:
1. Finish the flooring
2. Install the light fixture, outlet and such
3. Install the toilet
4. Install the sink
5. Fix the window in the 2nd bathroom so it opens.
So, right now, I’m losing myself in some music so I don’t set things on fire. :)
