Worried I have Coronavirus, an Update

A few days ago I wrote a diary that I had started feeling unwell, and was concerned.  Long story short, I’ve had diarrhea (yes this is increasingly understood as a symptom of Covid-19) and stomach cramping since Thursday.  Yesterday I rebounded, but this morning is much worse.  I’ve got bad diarrhea exhaustion and dizziness.  What’s worse is I believe I am developing a dry cough and I feel a touch congested.  I often cough in the morning, so I hope it’s psychosomatic and it goes away, but… it feels a little different.

Fiance also says he’s feeling nauseous this morning and congested.  I’m scared.  I’ve got asthma and have been hospitalized previously for bronchitis.  I’ve also had pneumonia a few times.  They also say that those with gastro and respiratory symptoms have much worse outcomes.  And that makes me worried for him too.  He’s super healthy, but the gastro thing lowers chances, if that’s what we have.  Someone needs to take care of the cat.

I’m currently trying to take as good care of myself as possible.  I’m drinking plenty of fluids, and I have some home made chicken soup.  I’ve been taking quercetin, of which there is some evidence that it could be helpful.  I sent an email to my doc already, and will call when they open.  How I wish we could get tested. I am trying to focus on the fact that even if I’m sick, I still have a chance, even if it’s a bad one.  I want to enjoy my life with my future husband, my cat, and the rest of my loved ones.  This weekend I started keeping Shabbos again as a way to calm, realign and feel connected.  I hope I get to experience many more of them.  I’ve also been doing lots of reading, and making phone calls to my representatives.

Luck, sympathy, and advice is appreciated.
