This is a short diary, just looking for some sympathy, or some, “no it’ll be fine!” I had mild diarrhea yesterday, but this whole morning I’ve had stomach upset and diarrhea (I got up three hours ago). I just started taking my temperature yesterday afternoon, and it was 97.7. Today it was 98.6 in the morning, not a big increase, but I know temperature is supposed to be lower in the morning. I am coughing a bit, but.. I often cough in the morning some.
I’ve been reading that many people present with gastrointestinal symptoms first, and those people have much worse outcomes. Try 60% without GI survived after hospitalization, and only 34% of those with. I have asthma and have been hospitalized for bronchitis as an adult and have had pneumonia several times. I am 38. I work with the public, and I started locking down on Saturday. My work was supportive and is going to help me get short term disability.
I’m scared. Hopefully it’s nothing and I ate something bad. I’m really looking forward to my life despite how bad the rest of this year looks, the uncertainty, and our political climate. I’m supposed to get married soon, and I’m a new cat parent to an adorable seven month old cat. Wish me luck!
